I got this from Skip Dodson, of the McNaughten Road Neighbors for Safety group on FaceBook. I don't know how many people are aware of this 296 unit development, but unless it is stopped we'll have three or four times the traffic on McNaughten Road that we have now.
The most important 198 McNaughten Apartment Project Meeting to date is October 19, 6:00 p.m., 1184 Barnett Rd, Council Community Hours.
This is your chance to talk directly to Council about why this is not an acceptable project for the community. Council will not vote at this meeting. The purpose is for them to hear what the community has to say on this or any other issue you want to raise.
IF YOU DON’T WANT TO SPEAK, PLEASE COME ANYWAY. We need to pack the house to demonstrate the community’s opposition to this 296 unit apartment project.
The Far East Area Commission (FEAC) has voted no, the Development Commission has voted no. This is the last, AND MOST IMPORTANT leg of our 3 year journey to make sure this 25.7 acre parcel, and other parcels, in the McNaughten Community are developed in a way that preserves the single family home character of our community and minimizes McNaughten Rd. traffic congestion.
WE NEED EVERY PERSON WE CAN GET TO ATTEND THIS MEETING.
