Director Meeting Minutes

Call meeting to order
  • Joanne Kitchen called the meeting to order at 11:02 AM

Establish Quorum
  • Board members Joanne Kitchen, Robert Jackson, Sandra Matthews, Nancy West, Joey Ashbrook and Judie Brenneman were present.
  • Bill Emery was also present.

Reviewed the meeting minutes from Mat 30, 2018.
  • A motion was made by Nancy West to approve the minutes as read. This motion was seconded by Sandra Matthews and approved by all.

Property Managers Report as of June 25, 2018
  • As of this date you have $13,925.59 in your checking account.
  • As of this date you have $157,084.70 in your savings account.
  • As of this date you have $11,540.73 in your CD account.
  • The Board reviewed the budget analysis.
  • There is one owner who currently owes the association money.
  • No action taken due to that unit being sold at Sheriff Sale on May 21, 2018. Nothing from the attorney on the sale yet.

Old Business
  • Tom Jones presented an email from Perry's Paving stating that the curb repairs will happen sometime in July.
  • B-Level proposal was discussed. A motion was made by Joanne Kitchen to approve this proposal. This motion was seconded by Nancy West and approved by all. Tom Jones will check on this proposal to see that it has not already been taken care of.
  • Follow up on June 1, 2018 clean up deadline. Units 1812, 1814 and 1819 have still not come into compliance. Tom Jones will send another notice.
  • Joanne will contact 1819 Misty Way about the garage door needing replaced.
  • Nancy west gave the Board an update on the landscaping.
  • On June 4th Virgin Landscape sprayed pesticide.
  • Grass was cut on June 11th, 18th and 25th.
  • Tom Jones to contact Wright Tree service on the following tree issues at
  • 1870, 1848 and 1812 Misty Way.

New Business
  • The Board discussed having a picnic. This will be held on August 12, 2018 starting at 4PM. Notice will be sent out.
  • The gutter clean out was done. Tom Jones mentioned that due to all of the rain, the leaves will continue to fall, clogging the gutters.
  • The Board discussed the continuing problem with parking on the street. This is against the policies.

General Discussion
  • The board reviewed a variance from 1847 Misty Way for a garage door. This has already been installed. A motion was made by Joanne Kitchen to approve this variance. This motion was seconded by Nancy West and approved by all.
  • The Board divided up the new policies and guidelines to be hand delivered. The Board will attempt to get signatures upon receipt.
  • The next meeting will be on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 11:00 AM.

Adjourn Meeting
  • A motion was made by Joanne Kitchen to adjourn the meeting at 12:17 PM. This motion was seconded by Judie Brenneman and approved by all.

News: Gas Leak

On Tuesday, June 19th, the local cable TV company consulted their official map of the area, noted the presence and location of a gas line, and starting up their drill.  They were intent on laying some new cable, and wanted to miss the gas line.

Security Warning

This is likely a case of being ejected from the Hub Bar and Grill, but perhaps not.  It may be someone who is mentally ill and off his meds, or a case of mistaken identity.  Whatever it is, pulling a knife on someone is a credible threat.  Please be careful if you're out for a walk, especially after dark.

Report Narrative
Victim states suspect #1 was standing across the street and was yelling at victim. Victim states suspect #1 then pulled out a knife and told victim " come over her and i will cut you." Victim states she does not know suspect #1.

Security Warning

This report is on very good authority.  On June 6th at 2:20 AM on Julian/Jason Drive, a group of 5-6 teenagers were seen walking through the neighborhood looking for unlocked vehicles.  They make one pass through a parking lot with security cameras, and were recorded on video trying vehicle door handles, looking for an unlocked door.

One such attempt was recorded on video, triggered by a motion sensor.

Description of the teenager involved:
  • Hair: Black shoulder length braids.
  • Top: Dark blue or black hoodie.
  • Bottom: Blue denim jeans.
  • Shoes: White sneakers.
  • Age: 16-19.
  • Build: Tall and thin.
  • Race: Black.
  • Sex: Male

Please keep your vehicle locked, and if possible park your car or truck inside your garage, and remember to keep your garage door closed.
