Update 1/13/18 10:35 AM
Everyone on the official email list received the following email from HOA President Joanne Kitchen:
I talked to Andy Virgin at 6:00 a.m. He said that since the snowing did not stop until 4:00 and the blowing has caused problems we will be plowed late morning. He said that for every 1 inch of snow plowing is delayed 1 hour. 4=6 [STET] inches of snow has fallen. Please stay safe.
As a rule, maybe more as a guideline really, the upper management at McNaughten Village doesn't plow Misty Way until there is at least three (3) inches of snow on the ground. I think we've got four.
As you can see from this morning's traffic map (courtesy of
Columbus Traffic), things could be worse. McNaughten Road has been plowed by the intrepid Columbus Snow Warriors, your tax dollars at work.

Hopefully Misty Way will be plowed later on today. Here are a few pix of our neighborhood, taken from inside my home. I'm not going outside unless I have no choice in the matter.

I used to live in Wisconsin, and up there a snowfall like this wouldn't make the news. But then, the local government and the populace are used to dealing with snow in the winter. In Columbus? Not so much, I'm thinking.
