Neighborhood Neatness

I saw this on November 7th, 2022, a Monday evening.  This cart belongs to the Dollar General store across the street, and very likely was discarded by pedestrians taking a short cut through McNaughten Village, which as all residents know is private property and labeled as such, complete with No Trespassing and No Solicitation signage.

Discarded Cart

Art or Eyesore?

I, personally, believe items like this detract from the pastoral ambiance of McNaughten Village.  I also tend to think that people who leave junk like this behind them will also drop litter and may casually look for a target of opportunity - an unlocked car or pickup truck.

Maybe it's past time to install a gate, or better yet, eliminate the walk altogether.

Or not, as the case may be. Several buildings have had new drain pipes installed. It's easy to see which units, judging from the picture...
